Abstract

This paper deals with new trends in psychopharmacology. Our study on the incidence of psychiatric disorders on intensive care wards displays that basic knowledge about therapeutic profile, side-effects, and interaction with other drugs of recently released new drugs is also important for non-psychiatrics. We recall the serious side-effects of once or even still licensed drugs and present new therapeutic developments in the treatment of depression and psychosis.
