Abstract
This article is the update of an article in the German Journal of Family Medicine from 2008 and provides current information on postgraduate training and career opportunities in family medicine, addressing medical students, postgraduate trainees, trainers, and career changers. The aim is to present an overview of opportunities and possibilities as a helpful contribution and deci-sional aid for those considering a career in family medicine.
