Abstract
Therapy of psoriasis in these regions was always a challenge for the dermatologist. Beside established conventional treatment options, recently the physical and microbiological properties should also be consider. Recently in the treatment of atopic dermatitis introduced Calcineurin inhibitors could be a valuable adjunction of present treatment modalities. Since there is no direct evidence of psoriasis triggering and candida infection, routine treatment of intertriginous psoriasis with antimycotics should be reduced to the clinically suspected fails. Avoidance of trigger factors and application of additive measures are decisive for treatment success.
