Abstract

This work describes the use of robot-assisted single fiber OpticalCoherence Tomography (OCT) forintracerebral imaging. The goal is to assess the potential of robot-assisted OCT to as a minimal micronavigationmodality. A single glass fibre was inserted into a rat brain in vitro by a high-precision stereotactic manipulator.Analysis of the resulting depth-related A-scans showed that the scattering coefficients at equal depths correlate wellfor adjacent trajectories of the glass fibre.
