Abstract

Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are mostly asymptomatic. Left untreated, they can cause major health issues such as cervical cancer and infertility, as well as fetopathy, miscarriages, and prematurity during pregnancy. Early diagnosis and treatment of STD is therefore important. This article discusses the most common STD, with a focus on symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment.
