Abstract

Ovarian cystadenomas are cystic ovarian tumors, which may reach giant dimensions. Although being usually benign some of them behave like carcinomas that spread and metastasize. The giant abdominal mass of the tumor can lead to additional complications. We present two cases of women with giant cystic ovarian tumors, which were detected at autopsy as incidental findings but were finally considered to be the (joint) cause of death.
