Abstract

Over 90% of invasive breast cancers are histologically either of ductal (no special type, NST) or lobular origin. Furthermore, there are also a variety of rare malignant tumors of mesenchymal, fibroepithelial and lymphatic origins as well as special cancer types. This heterogeneous group is characterized by different clinical manifestations and an individual tumor biology, which requires specific oncological management. This article presents the characteristics of rare malignant breast tumors.
