Abstract
A 69-year old female patient was admitted to our tertiary care center with suspected ST-elevation myocardial infarction. The patient had a planned knee arthroscopy on the same day. The urgently performed coronary angiography showed no significant coronary artery disease (A: left coronary artery and circumflex artery), but ventriculography revealed the typical apical ballooning shape with apical akinesis and basal hyperkinesis (B: Laevocardiography in the right anterior oblique view, endsystole).
