Abstract

Nd:YLF laser produces Q-switched pulse duration due to its low stimulated emission. High efficient intracavity SHG is applied to extend the pulse duration. The laser is transversely pumped by three elements of four laser diodes. Two different methods are investigated using acousto-optical or electro-optical Q-switches. The pulse duration depends on the efficiency of the intracavity frequency conversion process. The generation of pulse durations with a continuous wave pump power and critical phase-matching is investigated.
