Abstract
Psychotherapy is used commonly to treat the depression. However, up to data little is known about its neurobiological mechanisms especially in comparison with pharmacotherapy. In this review we survey the current knowledge about peripheral and central changes in endocrine parameters as well as brain functions following psychotherapeutic intervention.
