Abstract
As part of the EMBC 2019 mini symposium on “Ethical Design Considerations for MedTec” this presentation abstract presents exponential and disruptive technologies. In the coming decades these will dramatically change the MedTec development process and the developed products and services. The upcoming HEALTH 3.0 delivery changes will put the patient in the center, focus on prevention, early diagnosis of diseases, and longevity increases. All of this will need to be complemented with rethinking the responsibilities of society towards healthcare and an increased awareness of ethical design considerations also of the developing engineers.
