Abstract

Case report of a mass casualty incident caused by a possible intoxication with drugs during a party of graduates at a grammar school. The announcement of three pupils with symptoms of intoxication evolved an extensive paramedic operation. 48 children had to be treated and 32 children were distributed to hospitals of Hamburg. There, a large-scale laboratory investigation took place for the exclusion of the intoxication. The following aspects are discussed: paramedic proceeding and situation at the duty area, role of media.
