Abstract

After establishing an ultrasound-navigated resection in metastatic liver disease by using a navigated parenchymal-dissecting instrument, we intend to transfer this technique from open to laparoscopic liver surgery. A special adapter was developed to connect an ultrasound-based navigation system to laparoscopic instruments. We present first results about technical aspects and feasibility.
