Abstract
Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is capable of imaging the spatial distribution of superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles with high sensitivity and high resolution. A Magnetic Particle Spectrometer (MPS) can simulate the magnetic field inside an MPI imaging device and measure the response of the nanoparticles without moving the samples. Therefore, it is used to estimate the characteristics of SPIO nanoparticles, as well as achieve the system matrix of imaging devices. A one-dimensional and a two-dimensional MPS were introduced before and showed good usability. A three-dimensional transmit coil setup was presented lately, and its corresponding signal chains have been partially described. This paper is a continuation work and aims at presenting the first measurement and signal to noise ratio (SNR) results of the three-dimensional MPS.
