Abstract

The authors report a case of an ependymoma in which metastases in cervical lymph nodes appeared four and a half years after diagnosis and operation. The primary tumor, an ependymoma grade I (WHO) in the left occipital region, had been completely resected and irradiated. In addition to metastases in the cervical lymph nodes, several recurrences in the primary region and multiple metastases to the spinal canal had occurred.
