Translated title of the contribution: Diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of pancreatic cysts: An overview of cyst classification, imaging, indications, treatments, and current guidelines

Abstract

Pancreatic cysts are increasingly being diagnosed as incidental findings during radiologic imaging. The differentiation between benign, preneoplastic, and malignant cysts is important for their clinical management. This article summarizes the classification of pancreatic cysts; diagnostics; indications for surgery; and the current international guidelines, especially the 2024 Kyoto guideline.
