Abstract
In 2014, the German College of General Practitioners and Family Physicians (DEGAM) developed quality indicators to assess the quality of postgraduate training within the DEGAM-Verbundweiterbildungplus. During this process, we realized the need to define commonly used terms such as "educational meetings", "feedback", "mentoring" or "train-the-trainer-course". The definitions of these terms underwent a feasibility test and were subsequently revised. Aim of this article is to discuss these definitions to facilitate a standardized terminology within the establishment of competence centers for training in Germany.
