Abstract
Comprehensive medical care of patients suffering from chronic polyarthritis means that all urging and vital problems encountered by these patients will have to be met by diagnosis and therapy. Hence, it is not only necessary to consider the physical state of the patient concerned, but also to take notice of his social and mental disposition. The physician has to dispose of special knowledge, skill, and behaviour and it is decisive that he co-operates closely within a team of different occupational groups. The publication gives a survey on frequent troubles and complaints of cP-patients which is supported by personal analyses and experiences. In addition, the publication allocates the different sets of problems to the corresponding occupational groups engaged.
