Abstract

The proceedings contain 92 papers. The topics discussed include: tracking of virus particles in time-lapse fluorescence microscopy image sequences; subcellular localization of proteins in living cells using a genetic algorithm and an incremental neural network; non-rigid temporal alignment of 2D and 3D multi-channel microscopy image sequences of human cells; interactive guidance system for C-arm repositioning without radiation; ultrasound guided radio-frequency needle placement; correction with an iterative scheme using an exact backward projector and a polychromatic forward projector; new approach for motion correction in SPECT imaging; an unified approach for fMRI-measurements used by a new real-time fMRI analysis system; method for projecting functional 3D information onto anatomic surfaces; shape analysis for ultrasound breast lesion evaluation; and complete digital iconic and textual annotation for mammography.
