Abstract

The proceedings contain 92 papers. The topics discussed include: noise reduction of fluoroscopic sequences in real-time; automatic in-vitro orifice area determination and fluttering analysis for tricuspid heart valves; machine-based rejection of low-quality spectra and estimation of brain tumor probabilities from magnetic resonance; estimation of signal-dependent noise in medical x-ray image sequences; CLARET: a tool for fully automated evaluation of MRSI with pattern recognition methods; analysis of the left ventricle after myocardial infarction combining 4D Cine-MR and 3D DE-MR image sequences; content based image retrieval for dynamic time series data; visual exploration of pathology images by a discrete wavelet transform preprocessed locally linear embedding; analysis of muscle fiber images with combined region and edge-based active contours; and shape-based 3D level set segmentation of the proximal femur in CT-data.
