Abstract

The scientific subcommittee "Junior Investigators" (WAKWIN) of the German Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine has developed a mentoring programme to support junior investigators. Selected young researchers will be matched with senior academic anaesthesiologists. The goal of the mentorship programme is to enhance academic career progression and to provide a platform for research development. The individuals selected as mentees will meet with their mentors one-on-one at the annual meeting of the German Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (Deutscher Anästhesiecongress, DAC). Additional seminars will be offered to promote the knowledge and skills required in an academic environment. Young researchers interested in the programme are encouraged to submit their application to the WAKWIN. Application deadline is April 1^st 2007.
