Abstract
Corner‐sharing, edge‐sharing, and face‐sharing FeOx polyhedra (x = 5,6) form a cyclic complex anion in K5[OFe6{(ino)621H}]·14.5 H2O (ino = cis‐inositol), the first structurally characterized polyolato(oxo)ferrate from aqueous solution. The synthesis is as simple as the structure is complicated (see diagram). (Figure Presented.)
