A new useful genetic marker, white body, in Ephestia kuehniella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)

Abstract

A new mutant, wb ("white body"), of Ephestia kuehniella Zeller is described. It appeared as a spontaneous autosomal recessive mutation in laboratory cultures and is a good phenotypic marker with complete penetrance and invariable expression.
