Description
The working group collects both primary data and uses secondary data to describe and evaluate the quality of life and care of cancer patients.
Studies using primary data include a survey of young women with breast cancer who participated in the "Getting Healthy Together" rehabilitation program during their stay at the Ostseedeich Clinic in Grömitz.
Projects using secondary data include the description of epidemiological trends in selected cancers and the description of the care and survival of cancer patients based on cancer registry data. For the latter, detailed data on the diagnosis, treatment, and course of cancer are requested from German state cancer registries, compiled, and evaluated. To describe epidemiological trends—including joinpoint regression analyses and age-period-cohort analyses—data are primarily requested and analyzed from the Center for Cancer Registry Data.
