Project Details
Description
The SCREEN pilot project scientifically investigated the implementation of a population-wide skin cancer screening program in 2003/2004. A total of more than 360,000 people participated in the visual whole-body inspection. This is the world's largest study on systematic skin cancer screening to date.
The positive results of the project subsequently led to the introduction of a statutory requirement for biennial skin cancer screening in 2008.
