Project Details

Description

In B04, we will assess whether platelets play a pathophysiological role during post-stroke recovery and late-stage tissue remodelling. The main focus will be on platelet-mediated thrombo-inflammation as well as potential extravascular effects of platelets, e.g. induction of apoptosis. Translationally meaningful mouse models, novel pharmacological inhibitors, and advanced imaging techniques will be used to investigate our research questions.
