Project Details

Description

Funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Science and Equality, a qualitative interview study is conducted on the paediatric care situation and needs of children, adolescents and their families in Schleswig-Holstein during the COVID-19 pandemic - with a focus on patients that are in need of medical care, seriously chronically ill and critically ill . The study aims to contribute to improving needs-based social paediatric care.

The study is expected to provide insights into the socio-paediatric care situation in Schleswig-Holstein, enabling a better understanding of the care needs of children, adolescents and their families who are in need of care, seriously chronically ill and critically ill. This will be used to derive recommendations for action to avoid underprovision, overprovision and misprovision of social paediatric care for political decision-makers and social paediatric professionals.
