Description

The ACTIVATE project focuses on optimising care in intensive care units. The systemic approach addresses essential (non-medical) action requirements in the nursing care of critically ill ventilated patients during weaning from the ventilator and/or waking from a coma: communication and information as well as activation and participation.

Development of a new ball-shaped input device with a suitable human-technology interface to improve communication between patients in the recovery phase (intensive care unit) and the nursing staff.
