The 2021 University Science Award, sponsored by Perfood, will honor the Long Covid publication "The SARS-CoV-2 main protease Mpro causes microvascular brain pathology by cleaving NEMO in brain endothelial cells."
First author and first authors Dr. rer. nat. Jan Wenzel, Josephine Lampe, Dr. rer. hum. biol. Helge Müller-Fielitz were honored. The laudatory speech was given by Prof. Dr. med. Christine Klein, Director of the Lübeck Institute of Neurogenetics.
