Scientific Focus

Our research group is working with retinal cells/tissues, to investigate cellular mechanisms in different optical procedures for diagnosis and treatment of the retina. Obtained results provide insights into the development of new methods for early diagnosis and early treatment of retinal disorders.

The main topics are as following:

  1. Minimal-invasive RPE thermal laser treatment
  2. Fluorescence lifetime imaging ophthalmoscopy (FLIO)
  3. Two-photon microscopy and fluorescence lifetime imaging of retinal cell
