Scientific Focus
Professor Krach is a psychologist by training and examinging the behavioural and neurocomputational mechanisms of social, cognitive and affective processes and their relevance for applied clinical research in psychiatry and psychotherapy. In particular, he is focused on how people form beliefs about themselves and how such learning processes are affected by prior knowledge and social context.
In addition to this focus on the psychological mechanisms of belief formation, he is investigating the impact of structural barriers within the academic system that determine the context in which such belief formation processes take place.
