Scientific Focus

Our research projects comprise the elucidation of collagen VII interactions in the extracellular matrix of the skin to gain insights into the processes involved in the pathogenesis of the autoimmune disease EBA. Another focus is the investigation of metabolic changes during inflammation and of diseased or aged cells (metabolomics).

Here are further information on our research:

  1. Metabolomics
  2. Type VII collagen/Autoimmunity

We use different biophysical techniques as for example NMR spectroscopy and Biacore to study protein-protein-interactions and also have a profound experience in protein expression and purification.
