Dr. Sina is a medical doctor and specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is Fresenius Kabi Professor of Nutritional Medicine, founding director of the Institute of Nutritional Medicine and has more than 15 years experience in medical research. He serves as a consultant for gastroenterology and clinical nutrition at the 1st Medical Department and the Comprehensive Center for Inflammation Medicine (CCIM) at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck. Dr. Sina is co-founder of Perfood GmbH, past-president of the German IBD working group (DACED) and currently chairman of the German Society of Mucosal Immunology & Microbiome (DGMIM).
