Personal profile

Scientific Focus

I am a computer scientist and Professor of Interaction Design and User Experience with a particular fascination for human-computer interaction and human-data interaction.

My goal is to create ubiquitous computing and mixed reality systems (AR/VR) that enable individuals or teams to interactively explore, experience, visualize, and make sense of complex data sets and data models.

I have published over 80 cited articles (Google h-Index 32) including seven Best Paper or Honorable Mention Awards at leading human-computer interaction conferences.

I also have been PI of € 5.7 Mio or approx. US$ 6.7 Mio in research grants.
