About us

The Institute of Psychology was founded in 2013 and offers curricula for Bachelor and Master Programs in Psychology. A major focus is the combination of a scientific basis with its clinical application as our interdisciplinary research takes place in between psychology, medcine and neurosiences.

We investigate mechanisms of human experiences and behavior with an interest in their neuronal basis. Our focus currently lies on learning, memory, decision making and ageing. Our methods include classical procedures of experimental psychology (electrodermal activity, eye tracking) and several types of imaging techniques, such as functional magnet

AG Prof. Obleser - Auditive Kognition

UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Our work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being
  • SDG 5 - Gender Equality
  • SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities
