About us

Our research activities focus on the following topics:

  • Pharmacological protection of the salivary glands from radiogenic damage for patients with malignant tumors in the head and throat region
  • Transfer of glandula submandibularis for treatment fo the dry eye (keratoconjunktivitis sicca), autologous tear replacement
  • Immunohistochemical, ultrastructural and functional long-term study on the innervation and secretion of the submandibular gland after transplantation
  • Differential gene expression in head and neck tumors
  • Expression of epithelial and endothelial growth factors in malignant salivary gland tumors
  • Development of the quality of life of our tumor patients 
  • Clinical and radiological study on primary stability and long-term examinations after prosthetic restoration of endosseous implants in the maxilla
  • Morphological and functional investigation of the dose-dependent protection profile of lidocaine on the radiogenic changes of the gl. parotis during fractionated radiotherapy of the head and neck region
  • pN1 - Study: Efficacy of postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity or oropharynx and simultaneously histologically confirmed solitary ispilateral cervical lymph node metastasis (pN1)
