Abstract

Welcome to the Adjunct Proceedings of ISS 2021
This year’s event is special in many ways. Most importantly, at the time of writing, ISS is planned as a hybrid conference where we meet both in Łódź, Poland and online. Consequently, we are excited to bring you these, hybrid, proceedings where some of the authors present their work in person and others deliver an online presentation. The conference is an inclusive event with an open and engaging atmosphere. This year brings a diverse and excellent adjunct programme. While the raging pandemic is reflected in our submission numbers, the track chairs managed to select a number of highquality contributions. Throughout the conference, we will enjoy seven posters, two demo submissions, one case study and one workshop.
ISS 2021 marks the return of a practice-oriented venue to ISS. Together with the steering committee, we initiated the case study track to replace the practice papers which were part of ISS before the main paper track moved to the journal model. Our programme this year includes one excellent case study and we hope for more engagement with practitioners in the coming years.
We hope you enjoy these proceedings and find inspiration for your future research. We thank all the track chairs and our sponsors for their amazing contributions.
