Abstract
The benefit of uterine artery Doppler ultrasound in pregnancies resulting from intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is analyzed for the identification of patients at risk for developing pregnancy complications. Uterine artery Doppler is performed at 20-24 week's gestation in 114 singleton pregnancies after ICSI and compared to a control group matched for age and parity. Results showed that a high proportion of women with conception after ICSI present obstetrical risk cases. Anamnestic risk factors and pathological Doppler velocimetry are strong predictors of adverse pregnancy outcome.
