Abstract
SenSys is a highly selective, single-track forum for the presentation of research results on systems issues in the area of embedded, networked sensors. Distributed systems based on networked sensors and actuators with embedded computation capabilities allow for an instrumentation of the physical world at an unprecedented scale and density, thus enabling a new generation of applications. This year's program, including a keynote speech from Michel Maharbiz, 22 research papers, 2 industry papers, 19 posters, and 33 demos, features exciting advances in classical sensor network topics, as well as explorations into new frontiers. The Best Paper, Best Poster, and Best Demo Awards will be announced at the conference. We thank the Technical Program Committee chaired by Philip Levis and Kay Romer, poster chair Andreas Terzis, and demo chairs Raghu Ganti and Dimitrios Lymberopoulos for assembling the wonderful and thorough program.
