Abstract

Follow-up observations of the pulmonary infiltrate in Wegener's granulomatosis reveal, in a high percentage of the cases, regional distribution patterns which correlate with the physiological distribution of perfusion and ventilation. The possibility of an inhalative antigen as the point of origin of the granulomatous changes is discussed.
