Abstract

Polypyrrole doped with FeCl₃ has been studied by ⁵⁷Fe Mössbauer (ME) spectroscopy. ME investigations provides the experimental evidence for a strong interaction between the polymer matrix and doping anions. The strength of this interaction can easily be modified by changing the content of water molecules in the polymer during heating or ageing.
