Abstract

X-ray crystallography of proteins and other biological macromolecules continues to have an important role in drug design. However, obtaining high-quality crystals remains a difficult task with unpredictable outcome. Crystallographers, physicists and biochemists around the world are therefore working hard to achieve a better understanding of the physico-chemical processes underlying macromolecular crystallization.
